Leaping Forward Learning Center
On behalf of Leaping Forward Learning Center, I would like to welcome
you, and thank you for your interest in our childcare program. As you take a look at
our website, you will discover that our community at LFLC is caring, loving
and friendly. We offer elevated academic standards as well as enriched
opportunities in leadership to student’s ages 18 months through
Kindergarten (5 yoa).
At Leaping Forward Learning Center, we prepare young children for
higher learning and life by emphasizing academic excellence which
concludes our Advanced Placement program. We are committed to
fostering a respectful and supportive environment that inspires all
children to reach their full potential. Through cheer/praise, our students
feel loved, have confidence in their abilities, and continually strive for
improvement in the many areas of preschool.
Choosing the right educational setting in which your child will socially
engage, learn, and grow is very important. At LFLC, our inspired and
intellectually curious students learn in small group sizes where a loving
provider will embrace innovation, praise effort, and provide individual
attention in a safe, caring and nurturing environment.
*We are a state qualified family childcare home . We hold all state
required training including CPR &1st Aid.*
Hello Everyone!
Are you looking for a school that does more then just “watches” your child? If the answer is yes, you should come take a tour of our home based childcare center!
At L.F.L.C. we provide a fun, safe, loving and educationally enriching atmosphere for children ages 6 Weeks -5yrs. Having children of our own, we know how important it is to know that they are being protected and affectionately cared for while providing a living for them. We also know how important it is to make sure that they are given the opportunity to learn and discover potential through fun learning experiences. We are an in-home licensed with the state of Texas childcare facility. Leaping Forward Learning Center holds all of state required training including CPR and First-AID. We also offer healthy meals governed by a state food program through out the week. Most children in our care will graduate from our facility knowing more than the basics upon school entry.

BENEFITS OF FAMILY CHILDCARE:
*One on one learning (which means children work at a fast rate)
*Home like setting (which is what they are familiar with )
*Low child to teacher ratio (which means lots of attention and hugs)
*Flexible hours (**drop off early/pick up late**)
*Small group sizes (which means less distractions)
*Lower in cost than traditional childcare
BABY SITTER VS CHILDCARE PROVIDER
Babysitter:
*Occasional, short term, not on daily basis
*Very short hours
*Usually in child’s home
*Does not guarantee hours/days that parent may need
*Little education in child development field
*May or may not have first aid/CPR training
*No background checks
*Is not limited to the amount of children they can care for at one time
*Per hour a babysitter will charge more
*Does not report income to IRS
Daycare/Childcare Provider:
*Regular, daily or consistent basis
*Care provided in home of provider
*Reliable and consistent schedule of availability to parents
*Generally first aid and CPR certified and have food handler’s certification
*May be registered or certified through a state/county office
*Most states require anyone providing consistent care (and all living in household) to any child must have a background check done and on file with the state
*Continued education in the field of child development
*Has limits on number of children and what ages of children they may care for by state laws to *insure proper care of children
*May charge more monthly because care is more frequent, but when broken down hourly rate is cheaper than that of what a babysitter may charge.
*Reports their income to the IRS, which means you can claim it on your taxes as an expense
